Cresting the summit on UP's (formerly SP's) Palmdale Cutoff, a "traditional, post 1989" lashup of SP diesels, bolstered by three "untouched by SP paint" DRGW SD50s does the work.

DRGW 5508/5506 and an SP unit head downhill from Tehachapi into Tunnel #1 in the late afternoon.
